Scientist/Pharmacology
We are
seeking applicants for a scientist position in cancer
bioscience.
Job responsibilities
The individual in this position will be working with
drug discovery project teams to establish cellular
and mouse cancer models to test the efficacy of small
molecules designed to modulate the epigenetic changes
responsible for disease. Considerable effort will be
spent initially to establish and characterize clinically
relevant cellular and animal model systems to
demonstrate the importance of histone modification
factors in tumor maintenance. Primary responsibilities
will include the development of phenotypic cell assays
and pharmacodynamic markers to measure the potency of
lead compounds. Additionally, the scientist may
participate in the establishment and utilization of
mouse models for
efficacy studies.
Qualifications
A PhD degree in Biology/Pharmacology with post-doc or MS
and 10 years of industry experience is required.
Industry experience in drug discovery or translation
sciences is highly valued. The following experience is
preferred: Pharmacology, target identification and
validation in cancer cellular models,
cell-based assay development, mouse model studies in
oncology, PD biomarker discovery, translation.
