Senior Research Associate – Pharmacology
Responsibilities:
- Develop and run cell-based assays to support our drug discovery oncology programs and to study the mechanism of actions of our compounds
- Propose experiments, generate and evaluate data in the area of oncology. This involves protein and RNA level determination using FACS, ELISA, Western Blot and qPCR analysis
- Provide biological support to teams developing small molecules in the field of oncology
Qualifications:
- BS/MS or equivalent, with a minimum of 4 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Proficiency in cell culture, cell assays including FACS and phenotypic assays, cellular and molecular methods, including qPCR, ELISA, and western blot
- Experience in drug discovery, and cancer biology
- Very organized, good at tracking and organizing data
- Team-player, comfortable working in a matrix environment on multiple projects
- Flexible and enthusiastic with strong communication skills

Senior level Scientist – Medicinal Chemistry (title commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities:
- Focused work on the design of novel chemical entities
- Identify structure activity relationships (SAR) to address lead optimization, potency, selectivity, pharmacokinetics and in vivo efficacy
- Extensive work with structure-based drug design
- Collaborate with a broad group of scientists and interact with external collaborators
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry,5-10 years of relevant experience preferably in oncology
- Biotech or large pharmaceutical experience working as a bench chemist necessary
- Experience with modern structure-based drug design
- Fragment/structure based design experience is preferred
- Proven superior laboratory skills
- Ability to work independently and interact with a multidisciplinary team of medicinal chemists, biologists, pharmacologists and external collaborators
- Proven track record of innovative project contributions including peer-reviewed publications/patent applications
- Project leadership skills a plus

- Design and implement cell based RNAi screens to identify novel biological targets for cancer treatment
- Validate known and novel biological targets to determine the feasibility of these targets as potential candidate drug targets by developing biochemical and cellular assays
- Elucidate target mechanisms in the context of cancer pathways and chromatin biology
Qualifications:

- Strong molecular and cellular biology skills

Qualifications:
- PhD, with 3-5 years of industry or post-doctural experience in Cancer Biology
- Detailed knowledge of cancer signaling pathways is desired
- Extensive experience in ChIP-chip, ChIP-seq procedures
- Experience in cellular and molecular biology techniques including cell culture, transfection, immunoprecipitation, Western blotting, RT-qPCR and RNAi procedures is required.

Scientist – Lead Discovery
Responsibilities:
- The scientist will develop, optimize, validate, and execute biochemical assays in support of small molecule drug discovery projects.
- Primary responsibilities include assay development, screening, and in-depth characterization of small molecule leads for nascent and ongoing chemistry programs.
Qualifications:
- This position requires an enzymologist/biochemist with experience in biochemical assay development, in addition to HTS screening experience.
- A B.S./M.S. degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Biology with 2 or more years experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment is required.
The following experience/qualifications are preferred:
- An enzymologist with a drug discovery background
- Experience in defining inhibition mechanisms of small molecules, and application of biophysical technologies (e.g. calorimetry, surface plasmon resonance) towards lead discovery.

Research Associate – Lead Discovery
Responsibilities:
- Hands-on knowledge of laboratory robotics, liquid handling and sample management
- Compound plating, routine maintenance and operation of laboratory robotics and troubleshooting process design to support drug discovery programs in highly automated environment with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- The preferred candidate will have experience in compound management ideally in a biotech or pharma environment.
- Additional desirable skills/experiences would include high throughput screening and the ability to troubleshoot routine equipment problems.
- Strong communication, data management, and organizational skills are required.
- A B.S./M.S. degree with 2 to 7 years industrial experience is required.
